Rams' Mason Pound named Northern California Pitcher of the Week

Gavilan College sophomore Mason Pound has been named the Northern California Pitcher of the Week by the California Community College Baseball Coaches Association (CCCBCA) after his impressive performance on the mound against Reedley College last Friday.

In just his third start of the season, Pound went the distance for the complete-game victory at Reedley. He fired an eight-hit shutout while striking out three batters. The win improved his overall record to 2-1 this season.

Pound, originally out of Westmont High School in Campbell, was an All-Coast Conference South Division honorable mention selection for the Rams last season.
