Henry “Hank” Anyiam joined Gavilan College as the Head Coach of Men’s Basketball just ahead of the 2023-2024 season.

Prior to his time at Gavilan, Henry served as the Assistant Coach for Men’s Basketball at San Francisco State University beginning in the 2016-2017 season. During his seven years in that role, San Francisco State made 4 Conference Tournament appearances, 1 Conference Championship appearance, and 1 NCAA Tournament appearance. Along with the team success, Henry was able to recruit, coach, and develop 16 All-Conference players and 1 All-American player.

Before joining San Francisco State, Henry spent four years as the JV boys basketball head coach and boys varsity basketball assistant coach for Terra Nova High School in Pacifica, California. In 2003, after graduating from Saint Ignatius College Preparatory in his hometown of San Francisco, Henry attended San Jose State University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physics. In 2016, he earned his Master’s Degree in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University Irvine.
