Men's Soccer head coach Josue Salgado named Employee of the Month

Congratulations to Gavilan College men's soccer head coach Josue Salgado! He was selected the college's Employee of the Month for September 2023.

Josue has come into Gavilan College on a mission. He has taken a program that was dormant and brought life back into it. Josue put in countless hours this past spring and summer, recruiting in our community and promoting Gavilan College and the soccer programs. He is building a support network for his student-athletes and is working on creating a positive culture for our soccer programs.

Because of his efforts he currently has 35 student athletes on the roster, and they have started off the season with an impressive 11-6 record. It is a testament to Josue that the team has come back so strong and we are excited to see where he takes the program from here!
