MONTEREY – Edisson Torres goal in the 20th minutes proved to be all the offense Gavilan College would need for a 1-0 Coast Conference victory at Monterey Peninsula College.

The Rams won for the second time in three games to improve to 5-12-2 overall and 2-8 in the Coast Conference South Division.

Torres tallied his third goal of the season while Amado Augustine Canela earned the shutout victory in goal for the Rams, the squad's second of the season.

The Rams close out the regular season this week, hosting Cabrillo College on Tuesday (Nov. 11) and then play an away game at Ohlone College on Friday (Nov. 14).
