MERCED – Trey Miller came off the bench to lead Gavilan College with 18 points in a close 68-63 non-conference loss at Merced College on Saturday.
The Rams are still in search of their first win and fell to 0-4 overall. Gavilan trailed 36-30 at halftime and couldn't get the big run to overtake the Blue Devils in the second.
Uriah Brown and Chance Duffy both scored 13 points each for the Rams. Brown added 6 assists and 5 rebounds to his solid effort. Myron Stamps chipped in with 10 points and 5 boards.
Gavilan in back in action on Thursday (Nov. 13) at 5 p.m. when the Rams host Reedley College in a non-conference game.
