Rams cruise to 92-62 rout of Ohlone at home
GILROY – It's been a tough start to the 2025-26 season for the Gavilan College men's basketball team. The Rams have opened the year by dropping their first 11 games but on Thursday, the squad put that all behind them.
Chance Duffey scored a team-high 17 points while Myron Stamps posted a double-double with 10 points and 13 rebound to help lead Gavilan to its first win, a 92-62 triumph over visiting Ohlone College.
Gavilan came out sharp on both ends of the floor, building a 43-26 advantage at the break by pushing the tempo and capitalizing on Ohlone miscues. The Rams maintained that momentum in the second half, outscoring the Renegades 49-36 to pull away for the 30-point victory.
Trey Miller added 15 points, knocking down three shots from beyond the arc, and Amari Reason contributed 12 points off the bench for the Rams.
Gavilan, now 1-11 overall, is back in action on Saturday (Dec. 13) when the Rams travel to Porterville College for a non-conference game.
