GILROY - The Gavilan College men's basketball team put an end to a five-game losing streak thanks to a 67-60 Coast Conference South Division win over visiting Hartnell College on Friday night.
Trey Miller led Gavilan with 20 points, shooting 6-of-13 from the field and 5-of-9 from three-point range. He added three rebounds.
Myron Stamps recorded 14 points and eight rebounds. Chance Duffey finished with 12 points and seven assists. Andre Gutierrez scored six points and collected four rebounds, while Ethan Broussard added six points off the bench. Malachi Branch contributed four points and seven rebounds.
Gavilan shot 35.6 percent from the field and 38.7 percent (12-of-31) from three-point range. The Rams made 65.0 percent of their free throws, totaled 32 rebounds, and committed just eight turnovers.
The win improved the Rams to 2-19 overall and 1-4 in the Coast South Division.
